Most of Western Europe consisted of European tribes from the Eastern Steppes beyond South East Russia coming from Romania, The Southern regions of Ukraine and North Western Kazakhstan. Now, I know vaguely that Gaul had a big Greek influence in the South, as so too did Spain. But that is the limit of my recorded knowledge. Yes, the Franks were present in Gaul but that was after Roman conquest.
