Feb 7, 2008 - Writers don't get paid for the process of writing, they get paid for their finished product. WE, regular working folks, get paid for our labor. And because of the strike, we will not qualify for health benefits because we need work hours to be eligible. Thanks WGA. Writers have the luxury of writing anytime, but if you're truly striking you also should stop working/ writing. It's only fair.

Feb 22, 2008 - Come together, pool their money and talent, and make their own studio.Too much money? Take out a business loan. Too risky? If you don't have the guts to do it yourself, why should anyone else do it for you?The studios are the ones taking the risk by fronting the money for the shows. If the show flops, do the writers have to pay their salaries back? No. So they shouldn't be griping if they don't get much when the show succeeds. Their share is fair; it's proportional to their risk.
