We can spend all this money in Iraq but our railroad system still has trains running that were made in the 1980's.....how pathetic.

Feb 14, 2010 - meh. trains that were made in the 80s work well enough for us for now. yes, they do need replacement in the near future, and our rail infrastructure needs to be upgraded tremendously. the japanese M8s and korean S5s are coming in soon, so that's a nice upgrade for the northeast. amtrak's also looking to do almost a complete fleet replacement, so we've got a lot to look forward to.
